Matching and Discovery

Meet Positives lets you filter matches by diagnosis (HSV-1, HSV-2, HIV, HPV or hepatitis), age, interests and distance, and it has a “Meet Me” swipe feature. Its pricing page says free members get 10 “Meet Me” swipes and 5 profile discoveries a day, and that search by condition or location is a Premium feature. Because the platform covers several conditions, its member pool is broader than HSV alone.

Kind is built specifically for people with HSV-1 and HSV-2. Its matching learns from your likes and passes, so the people it shows you change as you use the app.

Privacy and Security

Meet Positives' privacy policy says it uses encryption, secure servers, access controls and monitoring. Its About page says that if you share your STD status, it is used only for matching or meetup notifications and never for ads without your permission. Photo verification is optional and adds a “Verified” badge to your profile.

On Kind, your HSV type is encrypted at the application layer and is never sold or used for ads. Every account passes a live-selfie photo verification before it appears in discovery, and you can choose to block your phone contacts.

Pricing

Meet Positives is free to join. Its pricing page lists Premium at $24.95 per month, $49.95 every 3 months or $79.95 every 6 months, and says these are estimates: time-limited discounts can apply, and checkout shows the current price. On the free plan you can reply to messages but not send new ones; Premium adds unlimited messaging and search by condition and location.

Kind is free while it is new, with every feature included — matching, messaging and seeing who liked you.

Apps and Access

Meet Positives works in a web browser, and its website links to an Android app on Google Play. Its About page describes a relaunch of the site in 2025.

Kind is a dating app for iOS and Android, made for people with HSV-1 and HSV-2.

The Verdict

Meet Positives serves a broader community across multiple STIs, with forums, chatrooms and member events. It may be a good fit if you want a wider dating pool that includes people with various conditions, or if you prefer to use a browser.

Kind may fit if you want an HSV-focused app on iOS or Android, where every account passes a live-selfie photo verification and every feature is free while Kind is new. Kind was built by a software engineer who lives with HSV. It is newer and has fewer members, so check who is near you in each service.
